Pappa Sierra entered the scene a few years ago by being one of the winners of Change Underground remix competition for Jamie Stevens. Despite his relative humble number of releases his production tells a different story. Deep, thoughtful productions with meticulous attention to details through out. ‘An Endless Vicious Cycle‘ is up first and oozing character with its deep melancholic melodies. Gracing Lowbit again is Li-Polymer who has had a very strong year with his releases and remixes and he takes ‘An Endless Vicious Cycle’ to new heights with a more energetic vibe yet he maintains the feeling of the original. Sonic Union, the man behind Lowbit teams up with his longtime writing partner Bastards of Funk to deliver the second remix of ‘An Endless Vicious Cycle’ going more up-beat focusing on tribal influenced drums and lush sustained chords. The second original is ‘Down The Rabbit Hole‘ which takes a whole new approach to deep underground music, fusing jazzy chords, airy drums and moving stabs. Wrapping up the release is New York based James Gill who have graced labels such as Sudbeat and Bonzai with his take on ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’. Taking the popular Argentinian sound and merging it with his own New York inspired flavour for a deep and vibrant remix.
